Carolina Studios is made up of a very small team of people that work day and night in order to offer the sessions that we do every day. Each instructor has a different set of very important skills and traits that help hold our organization together. Here’s a look at some of our staff members and a little information about them!

Kyrstin Troxel

Kyrstin is our scheduling coordinator and head instructor. Her main role is to get in touch with all of our potential schools and organize our meeting times, as well as to head up any projects that we may be given. She’s been with Carolina Studios since the summer of 2016, and she’s responsible for most of our recent growth. Kyrstin started as an intern during her time at the College of Charleston and moved on to become the leader of our team.

Kyrstin is a graduate of the College of Charleston’s Arts Management Program with a concentration in the Music Industry and has been playing guitar and singing for many years. Outside of Carolina Studios, she has experience with music production, and band management.

Arison Miller

Arison has been with Carolina Studios for four and a half years, heading up our Shaw Street Community Center location and many of our bus sessions. He’s helped kids produce music videos and write countless songs in his time here, and always has a good conversation to offer. He is also one of the few people on staff able to drive the bus, which is a huge responsibility yet something often overlooked. Kids are always asking about him when he’s not around the studio.

Arison studied film scoring and music production at Full Sail University. He currently operates a music production business outside of Carolina Studios, along with being a full time musician.

Jordan Troxel

Jordan has been with Carolina Studios for about a year now. Since he started working with us he’s had many roles, a few of which being his work with mixing and mastering tracks for projects like our song with WeeBeeSmilin (watch below!) and with our winning Battle of the Bands contestants. He’s an engineering pro, assisting in teaching our St. John’s class about things like EQ, compression, and reverb. He’s a huge help and a pleasure to work with.

Jordan has been involved with music since he was very young. He’s now in a band called Wildsound with his brothers, and they’re in the process of recording, mixing and mastering their first EP. In the future, Jordan would like to start his own music venue or pursue his passion for songwriting and drumming as a full time musician.
