Carolina Studios is made up of a very small team of people that work day and night in order to offer the sessions that we do every day. Each instructor has a different set of very important skills and traits that help hold our organization together. Here’s a look at some of our staff members and a little information about them!
Kyrstin Troxel
Kyrstin is our scheduling coordinator and studio manager/lead instructor. Kyrstin assists the team with creating new projects/lesson plans for our programs and also schedules, coordinates, and plans all of our sessions with schools, Summer camps, and community events. She’s been with Carolina Studios since 2016. Kyrstin started as an intern during her time at the College of Charleston and moved on to become the leader of our team.
Kyrstin is a graduate of the College of Charleston’s Arts Management Program with a concentration in the Music Industry and has been playing guitar and singing for many years. Outside of Carolina Studios, she has experience with music production, and band management.
Arison Miller
Arison has been with Carolina Studios for four and a half years, heading up our Shaw Street Community Center location and many of our bus sessions. He’s helped kids produce music videos and write countless songs in his time here, and always has a good conversation to offer. He is also one of the few people on staff able to drive the bus, which is a huge responsibility yet something often overlooked. Kids are always asking about him when he’s not around the studio.
Arison studied film scoring and music production at Full Sail University. He currently operates a music production business outside of Carolina Studios, along with being a full time musician.
Jordan Troxel
Jordan has been with Carolina Studios since 2018. Since he started working with us he’s had many roles, a few of which being his work with mixing and mastering tracks for projects like our song with WeeBeeSmilin (watch below!) and with our winning Battle of the Bands contestants. He’s an engineering pro, assisting in teaching our former internship class about things like EQ, compression, and reverb. He’s a huge help and a pleasure to work with.
Jordan has been involved with music since he was very young. He’s now in a band called Wildsound with his brothers. In the future, Jordan would like to start his own music venue or pursue his passion for songwriting and drumming as a full time musician.
Wilson Troxel
Wilson has been with Carolina Studios since 2022 and is our current social media and marketing manager. Wilson provides the community with online updates through our Facebook, Instagram, and monthly newsletter. He also assists in writing lesson plans and projects for our students and teaches music production and songwriting in all of sessions. Outside of Carolina Studios, Wilson is a skilled photographer, guitarist, and is also in local band Wildsound.
