Beyond Basic is a local non-profit organization within the Charleston area that teaches adults with intellectual disabilities everyday life skills to both challenge and guide them to achieve their goals. Beyond Basic believes that everyone deserves the opportunity and resources necessary to achieve a fulfilled and independent life after high school.
HEART is a local non-profit organization that provides inspiring, creative, and community engaged activity programs for adults (21+) with developmental disabilities in the Charleston area. HEART provides their attendees with both visual and performing arts opportunities to enhance their personal and social skills and overall help differently abled people understand their place in the world.
